On June 26, 2023, the Defend Ethiopia Task Force Europe (DETF-EU) has organised a meeting with the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission.
The meeting aimed to introduce the work of the National Dialogue Commission to the Ethiopian Diaspora in Europe. Professor Mesfin Araya, the Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has briefed Ethiopians in the diaspora about the grassroots work that the National Dialogue Commission has done to bring reconciliation and peace to the country.
Furthermore, Professor Admassu Gebeyehu, who is one of the advisors to the commission, explained to the participants about dialogue and conflict resolution processes.
Professor Mesfin also informed participants that the commission will start series of consultations of the Ethiopian Diaspora to ensure its participation to the National Dialogue in an inclusive manner.
